This is also why it has one of its big big plus's it's armour, up until some of the more recent upgrades to the Leopard (Germany actually realised they needed to stick armour on the side of there vehicle as well finally) was by far the best thanks to its second generation Chobham armour, However America has it's own second generation mix these days as do the Germans and they have thicker applique kits.
